Are there any discounts available?
Yes, we offer discounts for group bookings of 10 or more people. For more details about group bookings please email events@hayhouse.co.uk
Will you send out my ticket in the post?
No, all our events are e-ticketed. This means that once your order is confirmed you will receive an email to the email address you provided when you made your purchase or set up a Hay House account. This email has the details of the event and a link to download your ticket. For security reasons, this link is valid for 7 days. After that you can download the ticket from your Hay House account area (please see the question below for more information on downloading the ticket from your account area). The ticket will be in PDF format. If you don’t already have Adobe Acrobat Reader to view PDFs (standard software on most computers) then you can download it for free here.
Can I pay for an event ticket using a cheque?
For customers with no access to the internet or a credit card, we will accept cheque payment for events tickets. To arrange this, please call the Hay House UK office on 0203 675 2450.
Can I book a ticket to an event if I live abroad?
You can book a ticket on our website if you live abroad, but please do not under any circumstances book your flight, hotel or make any other arrangements that are dependent on the event until you have bought your ticket.
I haven't received my event ticket - Help!
If you have not received your ticket via email please go to Hayhouse.co.uk and login as usual. In the top right of the screen you will see ‘My Account’. By clicking here you can see all of your purchase history and will have the option to print out event tickets.
I've forgotten the password to my Hay House UK account
If you cannot remember your current password, go to the HayHouse.co.uk log in page and click 'Forgotten your password?'. Enter your email address ONCE. Your new password will be sent to your email address. Sometimes this can take up to 30 minutes to arrive. If you cannot see a password reset email from Hay House UK in your regular inbox, please check your spam folder.
Do I need to bring my PDF ticket with me to the event?
Yes, you do need to bring your ticket along with you to the event. The ticket can be downloaded either from the original email sent (within 7 days) or from your account area, see the section above for details on how to download your ticket from your account area.
Can I buy books at Hay House events?
Yes, there will be opportunities to buy Hay House books at a reduced price during breaks. Card payment will be accepted, but we would appreciate it if you could bring cash with you as this will greatly speed up the service we can offer.
How do I get my book signed by the speaker(s)?
There will be an opportunity to have a book or card pack signed by the author(s) speaking at the event. Book signings usually occur during a break or at the end of the event. Book signing time(s) and location(s) will be clearly displayed at the event on the day.
There is no specific dress code for Hay House events, but we would encourage you to wear comfortable clothing.
Will I be able to have a private session with the speaker/author?
No, authors' schedules are always full during Hay House events, so unfortunately a private session is not possible.
We use Hay House staff to work at our events so there is currently no opportunity to volunteer.
Accommodating attendees with special needs
We will do our best to accommodate any attendees with special needs, however you must inform us by email prior to arriving at the event. Please email us at events@hayhouse.co.uk with a detailed description of your needs and we will contact you to discuss and arrange.
Event tickets are non-refundable. As stated in our Terms and Conditions, we will happily exchange any Hay House UK event ticket for a credit note, up to thirty days prior to the event. Credit notes will be valid for all future Hay House UK events, within 12 months and subject to availability. Between two and thirty days prior to the event Hay House will consider requests for an exchange on an individual basis. All requests must be in writing and emailed to events@hayhouse.co.uk.
What if I can’t come to the event after booking?
When you buy a ticket you must accept our Terms and Conditions as part of the purchase process and you cannot proceed with the transaction until you do. Our Terms and Conditions state that we will offer a credit note, up to 30 days before the event, for the full amount paid. This can then be used as full or part purchase towards any other Hay House UK event in the next 12 months. This credit note cannot be used to purchase products. If you notify us less than 30 days before the event then it is at our discretion as to whether a credit note can be issued. Any request for a credit note should be sent to events@hayhouse.co.uk
What happens if Hay House cancels the event?
It is extremely rare that we would need to cancel an event, but if we do we will contact you by email as soon as we can and your card will be refunded with the full cost of the ticket.
Please bear in mind that our terms and conditons state that "Hay House Publishers can accept no responsibility for any loss due to cancellation of any programme or event. Hay House will not be liable for any loss of enjoyment or wasted expenditure. Personal arrangements including travel, subsistence and accommodation relating to the Event which have been arranged by you are at your own risk."
