Diverse Wisdom Programme
We’re proud to continue our Diverse Wisdom initiative for writers of colour who are keen to write a book which falls within the personal development or mind, body & spirit sectors.
Acknowledging the lack of diversity amongst authors within our sector and the factors that lead to this lack of representation, we’re delighted to offer successful applicants an honorary placement for our Writer’s Workshop event as part of the initiative. This event takes place in person in Edinburgh this September. Successful applicants will also take part in an eight-month writing and mentorship programme that will coach them through the process of writing a book, leading to a final submission of a book proposal with the chance to gain a book contract with Hay House.
Successful Diverse Wisdom applicants will receive:
- Honorary placement at the Edinburgh Writer’s Workshop on 17–18 September 2022 (must attend in person).
- Pairing with an established Hay House author as part of a formal mentorship lasting eight months, commencing from the end of the Edinburgh workshop.
- The chance to be published by Hay House on acceptance of a successful book proposal.
For applicants who would dearly love to attend but the cost of travel and accommodation for the in-person Writer's Workshop event may extend beyond the limits of your budget, limited financial contributions are available. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
Applications for 2022 are now closed. We will be in touch with the successful applicants on Friday 12 August 2022 by email
